When i injured myself, my baby was about 5 months old- i depended on a carrier very similar to this to cart her around when I had to. You might be able to find one with more of the weight distributed to the waist- there are several kinds. I would search for hip carrier. You'll still have to support her with your arms for soem time, but it will take some of the weight off.

I also used a specific sling that i really liked, and looks like they make a cool wrap now, too. -it will work well for such a little one

I am done with my pale yellow microfleece peanut shell sling (size M) and would be happy to pass it on to a loving home if you need one. My youngest baby is 2years next week and there is NO WAY i could carry her around in it any more


I think the most important thing once she is a little older -which the peanut shell does not have- is something to go around your low back-
