Hi Karen,
Biological dentists are becoming more popular but are still difficult to find. They frequently don't advertise themseves as Biological for fear of rejection by their peers (those who practice traditional dentistry) as well as the ADA. Some seem to almost disappear when in fact they were forced out of practice because the stress of constant scrutiny becomes too much to deal with. I know of 5 dentists who this has happened to in the last 3 years.

There is an organization called International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT) that does have some members who are Biological. Here is a link to some dentists in NY. You would have to call to see if they perform extractions and/or for a referral to a Biological Oral Surgeon. They have a provider search on their main web site www.iaomt.org

Let us know how you make out!
