I had tried Capsaiciain not for the RSD but for the arthritis pain in my hip and knees. It burned so bad I had to put cold towels on the area to help with the pain from the burning. I did find another cream that has worked wonders for me. Its called Theragesic. I hope I spelled that right. You put it on in layers. 1 for mild pain. the 2nd one if that doesn't work, I always do the 3rd layer. When I used to work, even with the pain meds I was having a hard time making it through the day. I bring the tube of cream everywhere with me and putting it on was the only way to get through the day. It gets hot, but not to the point that you can't stand it. It has helped me through many bad days. Its not too expensive, about $5.99 a tube. You can find it at most drug stores. Everyone I have told to try it can't belive the instant relief.
