Hello! One of the easiest things to remember is: The more colorful your diet, the healthier it is. If your diet is bland, you are eating too many carbs, meats, fats etc. It it is very colorful that is when you are eating your fruits and vegetables. Look at your cart when you are filling it in the grocery store. This is one of the points my doctor likes to harp on.

He thinks 90% of your purchases should come from the produce department. I haven't quite gotten to that point yet, but I am working that way.
