Default pilot with ? TIA

Just wanted to let anyone who was interested know about my husband. I posted awhile back, looking for info to help him fight a neurologist's diagnosis of TIA that had lost him his pilot's license. His symptoms were two brief episodes of blurred vision that the ophthalmologist that he saw that day diagnosed as migraine aura without headache. After a lot of testing including an MRI, ultrasound of his heart, carotid artery ultrasound etc. he saw another neurologist. By that time I had piled up a LOT of research stating that you couldn't diagnose a TIA (transient ischaemic attack or "mini stroke") from just his particular symptoms. Fortunately the new neurologist (with the help of a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic resident) quickly came to the same conclusion and he is now happily flying again. The silver lining is that we know from the many app'ts and tests that he is as healthy as a horse!

Thank you to the posters on this site who were so helpful, wish I had access to the old Braintalk so I could know your names.
