Thanks for this, Madelyn. You are "quick on the draw". I subscribe to Science but have not yet picked up this week's issue.
miRNAs are the natural, endogenous counterparts of siRNAs that can be custom-made synthetically and used to suppress the expression of almost any gene. My collaborator in research and I are doing just that in cultured human fibroblasts to determine the effects of the extracellular matrix proteins collagen and fibronectin on one another.
