Sheesh. Where is everyone?

Hi Cindy!

I hope your hand doesn't get any worse. I remember when my right hand was affected last fall. I casually mentioned it to the neuro in November at my quarterly office visit. He says, HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON? I say, oh, a few months, it started very gradually and got worse... Then I change the subject.

He gets frustrated because I do that a lot. I'll casually mention symptoms when I'm there for a regular visit. He says I should call him. I don't know why though. I can't take steroids. He thinks if it's something crucial like my right hand I should call.

I figure if I take my regular meds that's all I can do. The steroids make me sick so what else can I do? I mean seriously? He says patients usually are at one extreme or the other. They'll call if they have a numb patch on their leg for an hour, or they'll come in when they're paralyzed from the neck down. (That would be me.)

Anyway, I hope you can keep your plans for next week ... Have a restful Labor day weekend!
