Gentrifying - that word always cracks me up. People move to the area because they are enticed by the culture, but the first thing they want to do is rid the area of it's culture.

If I grew up in that area, I doubt that noise from the drumming would bother me. I think I'd rather listen to that than train whistles and police/fire/ambulance sirens all night long.
