I thought I'd add my .02 in here. When I was first dx'ed they started me on Mirapex. After a few days, when the drug got into my system, all I wanted to do was sleep. I called my MDS to complain and she wanted me to stay on it for awhile saying the sleepiness would go away. It didn't. I completely lost 6 months because I was asleep. At that point we changed to Requip. I had pretty much the same results. These are effective PD drugs that need to be taken with extreme caution. Some of us can take them and some can't.
