I'm trying, Sal, I'm not as active as I could be, but I'm working toward legislation that would forbid Congress & Senate from legislating their own pay raises. My current formula is the national median income +20%, pay into SS like everyone else, and pay into their own regular 401k, salary ceases when they leave office. Medical and other expenses expire upon retirement/voted out. No COBRA. They would also be penalized financially for missing votes.
These are supposed to be public servants, not a monarchy.
The catch is that it has to be written to take effect 20 years from passing so that the greedy bastards can get what they really want for themselves.
