KMEB, please don't panic yet...
Surely the disability insurance people are not going to base their decision on one doctor's opinion. Don't they have a truckload of doctors' reports from other docs supporting your problems? And how is he going to explain to them that in one place on the form he says 1 hour and in another place he contradicts himself???
I usually react to stuff like this ballistically and would probably by now be on the phone to the state board that licenses doctors, as well as trying to locate an attorney to take this case, in general raising all kinds of h*ll.... HOWEVER, I am VERY bad about jumping the gun, and it may be too soon to jump, although you could take steps to find out what "can" be done in the event this becomes a reality.
This guy prescribed IVIGG's for you... You sure don't prescribe those for people just for kicks or for mental attacks, so he must think something is wrong with you, or perhaps he could explain in court why he prescribed such drastic (and expensive) steps for a patient in such "great" condition...
I bet your state has a wealth of lawyers lined up who love taking insurance companies like this to the bank...
Meanwhile, how about getting with your GP and paying a visit to the Neurologist he works with???
Stay with us here... Remember the saying, "It ain't over til the fat lady sings?"
