Those first two articles are excellent! I recognize the names of some of the researchers. The last article unfortunately I could not access unless I become a member of Medscape.

The neuropathic pain syndrome explanation makes sense, especially considering the number of people who develop fibromyalgia following a whiplash injury or other phsyical trauma. I hope that once the medical community reaches more of a consensus as to what exactly fibromyalgia is, they may in turn come up with more accurate diagnostics for it and eventually better treatments as well. I am soooo tired of hearing it described as a "wastebasket" diagnosis, another name for hypochondria, the hysterical woman's disease, etc. by docs who really ought to know better.

fanfaire,
who is not hysterical, a hypochondriac OR a wastebasket!
