I hope you don't mind me butting in here when your question was to Mike but in answer to your question about why your blocks didn't work, I think it does often depend greatly on the skill of the doctor who is doing the block.

Wrong dose, wrong medication, wrong administration and wrong diagnosis I believe are the most likely causes and as I am sure your diagnosis isn't wrong I wonder if it is one of the others

Have your blocks been done under the guidance of Image Intensifying or Fluoroscopy?
I am so sorry you have had a negative response to what can be such a wonderful source of relief for some.
