These examples are lame.... sorry. I know you mean well.

There are many examples of FDA oversight...but thalidomide is not one of them.
The current rules on dispensing thalidomide (which costs about $2000 a month) are so stringent, that pharmacies have to have special ID to even buy it.
It is being used for multiple myeloma and AIDS now and is very very hard to even obtain for extreme patients. He made it sound like it was being ABUSED...which is very far from the reality. The reality is that even patients in need cannot get it properly, because pharmacies cannot get it in time for their treatment regimens. (that is not to say for you or me, that it should NEVER be available.--thalidomide does not cause problems of any kind for males or non-reproductive females!).

It is the DRUG companies that deceive basically.
This guy pulled many weak examples, so I don't think he is really well informed.
I don't think he presented well, or in an articulate fashion. This just weakens the message.
