When we first moved into this house, we had two peach trees in full bloom, in the back yard. I quickly picked all the ones that weren't munched on by the squirrels, and made peach cobbler. My DH thought he had already died and gone to heaven, when he awoke to the aroma from the oven.
I hope your Hubby enjoys his trip and you enjoy the alone time, without having to cook.
I am so so sorry about the tragic death of your Friend.
My heartfelf condolences to you and, of course, an extra prayer for his Family...How sad.
BTW, How is Holly doing? Better, I hope.
