Welcome back Tracy

I wanted to suggest you talk to your dr. about your gait issues... maybe he can prescribe a pair of orthotic shoes for you. They make the soles of different heights so that you walk normally... my next-door neighbor needed them because she had polio when she was a child. They worked wonders for her, maybe they could do the same for you.

I have a problem with depression, and a few mild panic attacks here and there. Like Dream, I do not (cannot) take the anti-depressants most often prescribed. Prozac makes me insane, literally. My behavior while on it (for 2 whole days, I wouldn't take another pill) was totally out of character for me. Elavil (amitryptaline) doesn't work for me either... the dosage has to be so high that the side effects aren't worth it in my case. The only one that does me any good at all is Paxil. There are many reports out there about the dangers of Paxil, but I have never had any issues with it. I regularly went on and off my meds, and never had any sort of reaction.

I haven't taken an anti-depressant for many years now, but I am considering it again.
