Why do doctors not listen? Arrogance! They spent so much time in school studying this stuff, who do we think we are helping them with the diagnoses? Anyway, I am lucky to have found some that do pay attention to me as a thinking person and not a lab rat. I have walked away from others who just want to "try another drug" and move to the next exam room.

High blood pressure, as Ada said, has many, many causes. Pain is indeed one of them and chronic pain could mean chronic high BP. I agree to go to a cardiologist and/or others until you can get better control. 200/100 is nothing to fool with.
