Does the psych not even see that the new puppy is yet another attempt to fill your life in a positive way?!!!
You (we all) are already doing what the psych is suggesting, and then some!!!
Why do "they" assume we sit around feeling sorry for ourselves?
I try to be as creative as possible to use my mind while my body has taken this little trip on me...but heck, I'm not Houdini.
