I stopped Amantadine 'cold turkey' without any problems, but I was only taking 100 mg per day. After I stopped Amantadine my feet began to swell - hugely - and they hurt.
As soon as I started taking Amantadine again, the swelling went away completely, and so did the pain.
I give up guessing what does what and when, it is all topsy turvey.
