this surgery has come a long way in the last few years. being in the health club biz i have known hundreds who have this done.
it used to be huge scar, months of recoup and pt. now that is rarely the case. it's less invasive. little scars and more soreness than pain. ( from what members tell me)
the big thing is not to over do it. you are used to the pain and soreness you have now. from what members tell me, it's like that at first. make you feel like "what the heck...it's not fixed

". but then healing starts and the pain and range of motion comes back.
i tore mine years ago. back in my competing days.

lots of pt and injections. so far no surgery.
