I am doing L-tryptophan twice a week. I find it very powerful, at least for me.
It lengthens my sleep time by about 2 hours. And that at 500mg/at bedtime only.
So if you decide to try it, I suggest to go slowly.
It is best taken on an empty stomach with some carbohydrate, say a juice.
This pushes the tryptophan past the blood brain barrier most effectively.
