This site has been a Godsend to me as well. Great caring and knowledgeable people here.

I am so glad you found us too.

I think the PN I was developing is more autoimmune in nature. While I tested negative for Celiac the gluten free diet helped me overall with a reduction in symptoms.

I did test positive for IBD and it seemed I was also malabsorbing many nutients. That reminds me have you had your B12 checked? One of our members Rose has posted some extensive stuff on PN and B12 deficiency.

Well fast forward and it seems like I had a very severe case of thyroid disease (autoimmune). I took a more drastic measure and had it removed for my own reasons and it has helped tremendously. I still stick to the gluten free diet as much as possible though because it helps in many ways.

Alaska must be fantastic! I am envious. Forest Hills! I lived in Manhattan for 13 years. We were neightbors . I now live in Los angeles.
