I thought the PDF Symposium was excellent - an amazing amount of information was
squeezed into the 2 days. Lots of notes to go through, but the highlight of the conference for me was hearing Dr. Jeffrey Kordower, who did the oriignal preclinical GDNF studies with monkeys, and is now working with Ceregene in the development of CERE-120 (neurturin) state publicly that the decision not to use GDNF in further clinical studies was not a scientific decision, but was due to Amgen not allowing other researchers to use GDNF in clinical trials. These few words spoke volumes to me!
