Wishing you lots of luck and success with your trial. It is all normal fear of the unknown that you are experienceing now but try and reassure yourself that this maybe the answer to your pain
Like the others say, the wire can be covered by your clothes and you will soon not even realise it is there (apart from the no showering) and there really isn't too much discomfort from the surgery at all.
