I came to after one of these procedures that required sodium pentathol screaming in agony. They asked if it was the incision that hurt but of course it was actually my RSD hand. It required four units of morphine just to shut me up but I was still in agony. I was quickly admitted. It was horrid. I was caught between being awake and asleep and the pain was incredible.

They had offered me an epidural beforehand but no one had ever told me what was what.

Always take the epidural. Don't do it otherwise.
