I know how hard it is to make a decision. You need to make sure your daughter (and yourself as well) are safe.

None of us -- not one single one of us -- deserves to live every day in fear. You daughter deserves to live in a home where people respect each other and care for each other. She does not need to be taught the lesson that so many of us have been taught, "you're not worth it". That is so NOT TRUE.

Please, Vashtiayla, get yourself and your daughter to a safe place. There are a lot of places and people that will keep you safe -- the police, women's shelters, relatives...

There is a life -- A BETTER LIFE -- after abuse and after neglect. Grab onto that with both hands and never let it go.
