Iiinteresting....
Thanks for posting this OCgirl.
This is a strange one - it's 1995, so I'm curious what the status is on those 118 patients in the 11 years since, ya know? I wish or wonder if they have a f/u on that? And what does the phrase "excellent" mean to the docs - I couldn't find out how to see the whole article, my links weren't working currently...
Also, note it says (I think) that in 20 years they'd done the 118 patients, some with a re-do, but still, that was only about 5.9 (bad est.) surgeries per year. And what is that, like Dr. Annest's daily amount? haha, over exaggeration there, but those docs in Denver really do so many surgeries per week, I wish we could get some f/u and figures from them. In fact, I still wish we could get some national figures on how many TOSers are out there, how many from computers, vs. car accidents, or like OCgirl - the surgical positioning or Beth's reaction to the immunization...I would really like some firm figures, but then, I guess they still haven't given the firm figures for even MS yet, according to MS sufferers.
OCgirl, how did you interpret this one?
Anyways, interesting post. Thanks, I love reading any new med article we TOSers can dig up.
