Hi--
To the original poster--- have you had any Neuro Psych testing done ? Neuro Psych testing is basically an indepth cognitive testing. It evaluates cognitive skills, various types of memory--and any deficits you may have (and where), where your strengths and weakness lie, IQ, visual spatial skills, reading/comphrension, and so much more, very detailed. It can uncover any learning issues one might have, problems with memory, comphrension and all sorts of other things. In essense, it give you and your doctors insight on how your brain is working, in functional sense. I had Neuro Psych's done about 18 months ago and they proved to be very helpful and gained a lot of good information for me and my doctors.
So, if you are really concerned about brain damage or dysfunction you might want to ask your doctor for a referral to a Neuro Psychologist to have Neuro Psych testing done.
Another thing you might want to ask for, if you have not already, is a brain MRI.
Hang in there !
