Question

I am interested to know if magnesium supplementation is beneficial for PWP or if it makes symptoms worse

my reason for asking is that it would appear that magnesium deficiency may be a common denominator for many people with Tourette Syndrome, where dopamine is a causative agent in the TS tics.

If PWP need dopamine, does adding extra magnesium maybe have a negative effect on the dopaminergic system?
here is an abstract on the central role of magnesium in TS

Cheri

ps and yes, magnesium supps and even epsom salts baths have an almost instantaneous stress relief/calming effect for my son with TS
