steve and vicky, sorry to hear you are both "under the weather". Vicky, have you ever tried taking a "probiotic" or eating live culture yogurt (much yummier) when undergoing antibiotic therapy? both repopulates the gut with "helpful" microflora. can be quite effective with diarrhea due to antiobiotic use--ask your doc about its use when first prescribed an antibiotic. On the other hand, don't allow the diarrhea to go on too long before contacting your dr/or physician's nurse.ask your doc/nurse about drinking electrolyte water (ie gatorade) --may help with your electrolyte balance.
