Regarding the points you made about the painful tongue.

I don't eat lollies (candies) and if I ever do on very rare occasions they are not the hard ones.

Checked the toothpaste that I am using and no Triclosan is listed on the ingredient label.

I know I have zinc deficiency which occurs on a regular basis but haven't had other vitamin levels checked. I did recently have a Vit D level done and it was equivocal -(borderline low). I do take a quality multi mineral vitamin regime daily but not specific B vitamins except for the past few weeks - Vit B12 alone.

Yesterday I was coincidentally talking to a woman who was diagnosed only about eight weeks ago with Coeliac Disease. This woman is probably in her late '50's and she told me that the worst symptom she had for a few years was a sore tongue (not mouth ulcers) and then more recently anaemia and vitamin D deficiency.

I am hoping to be tested for CD soon and even if those tests show negative for CD it's possible that a gluten free diet may still help as I have had stomach and 'gut' symptoms for the last three to six months with their onset being at a similar time to the onset of PN and extreme fatigue.
