I understand the situation you and your fiancee found yourself and it certainly wasn't easy for both of you. When MS is involved there is such high percentage of break-ups with couples. As painful as I'm sure it was, you did the right thing under the circumstances.

My wife who had MS and I were married for just over 32 years when she passed away this September. I was aware she had MS before we got married and although we had some difficult times, we managed to stick together for all that time. I wish you the best of health and luck in the coming years.
