Default Hi Ali,

I kept a pain diary for over 3 years. I wrote in it everyday. It seems like when I was at my worst was when I was able to keep it going. I used it for a Vioxx lawsuit that is still on going. I made copies of the pages that was needed along with my medical records. They would also help I think with Social Security and even Workman's comp if a person had them.

I think it would be a great thing for you to do to keep a diary for your Dr. to read.

A lot of Drs. have the ideal that the less we know, the better off they are. When they screw up then we wouldn't know it. Some Drs. will tell people to get on the computer and learn about what they have but I believe most don't want us to.

When I first ended up with TOS my Dr. sent me out to so many Drs. to get diagnosed he finally ask me one day to go out and buy me a cheap computer and help him diagnose me. He and my PA had only had one other case of TOS in their 20 years each of medical practice. With the computer I was able to help diagnose it. It still took us a year to get it done. A lot of people have been able to diagnose themselves from the computer and even go out and get the help they need.

As far as your Dr. I believe that if he doesn't want to let you listen and learn and he is blameing your Mom then I think he has no answers so he's trying to cover his own butt. I would definately push for a new Dr. or place to go for help.
