Default Holiday Tips for Pets' safety/well-being

I came up with these after listening to some Vets...

1) Christmas Tree preservatives: either use the type safe for pets and children or have a tree wrap that secures the water or keeps pets away from the water. Water is water to pets. They don't know if unsafe products have been added.

2) Know your nearest Vet office with ER services, its hours and take a trip by it - to know how to get there for sure - in the event of an emergency.

3) Keep packing peanuts and packing fillers away from pets.

4) Make sure that pets cannot knock over or get burned by any candles, which should not be left unattended anyway.

5) Don't use tensile (sp?) or other objects on trees that are "appealing" or appear as toys to pets.

Try viewing the holidays through a pet's perspective and keep the furry friends safe
