Default Trigger point injections

I went to Neuro yesterday and he injected marcaine, lidocain and a steroid in my neck and shoulder. When he was doing the injections, he kept commenting on how the needle was going in. He said I had a lot of connective tissue. I asked him what that meant and he said I have a lot of scarring. I asked him if I was stuck with it and he said YES. I don't accept this! I feel like I can beat this. I told him about he Trigger Therapy Workbook I had and that I have gotten several of those little boogers to go down (within my reach).

Today my neck is sore, my shoulder not as much. I am hoping that this is just a side effect and that the injections will work. The weather changing from warm to cold is a huge factor when it comes to my pain. My heavy toddler is also a huge factor. I have been in constant pain for 1 1/2 months now. I use to could go a week or two without pain then I would flare, but it is impossible now. I am under differents amounts of stress and pressure and have tried many different things to get relief. If there is anybody else out there going thru this, please tell me what has worked for you. I want my life back (pain free).

Things I do/or have tried:

Chiropractor w/ accupuncture
lidociane injections accupressure (didn't work - ouch)
Different RX which includes muscle relaxers, NSAID, Plaqunil, Prednisone (going to start that back up), adivant, percoset.
Hot and cold compress
TENS Unit (own one)
heating pads
menthol rubs (irritates skin)
accupressure beads
some massage - need to find a really good massage therapist
