that dr missed the boat I think-
there is no way they can tell without doing
at the very least some positional /provocative testing as well as the pulse testing.
That dr does not know a thing, even less than my dr did!
at least she did a half hearted pulse check in one arm...
I wouldn't waste any time going back to that one.
Your best bet, if you don't have access to one on our dr list, is to do some searching and calling around in your area to find qualified/experts in assessment of possible myofascial or musculoskeletal injuries.
Sometimes PT places have a good idea of which drs that specialize in certain things and can give names.
Even an advanced PT or knowledgeable chiropractor might be of help with dx or tx.

my DC & 2 adv PTs did all of these and more {tested for any C spine causes/ involvement}- none of my drs did except the one that did the single arm check.
