The film was The Day The Earth Stood Still, starring Michael Rennie, as Klaatu, a visitor from another world. His Giant Robot was Gort (Played by a guy who used to be the doorman at Grauman's Chinese Theatre), I'm a sci fi trivia expert by the way).
So Patricia Neal says to the giant robot "Gort, Klaatu Barada Nikto", she says it a few times.
Those were the most famous words to come out of a film (sci fi that is), in 50 years.
So now you have the answer.
And you remember Orson Welles scaring people?? My mother was listening to the radio that day (in 1938)and said everybody came running out of their houses thinking the martians were invading earth. Gee, I wish I was there.
