I dont think they should be splinting your arm.. I just read back, you have venipuncture RSD it is the main RSD site.. the splint can agrivate your RSD elsewhere.. to treat a new area of RSD load way up on antioxadents (vitimin C is an antioxadent and it can stop RSD before it begins in a new injury) Teas fruits vegies in bright oranges and reds greens. brighter the color the better for ya.

But ask around about splinting with RSD from what I hear it can be a bad agrivator to RSD. it is one of the excellerants.. like ice is.. you need yo keep your arm mobile and excercise it.. But I am no doctor.. its just what I am thinkin.

I am so sory you are having to deal with this.. an at christmas
Bone up on the antioxadents to help swelling and spread.. its worth a try an can't hurt.
Hugs
