Default Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...

Coooooooeeee

Xmas Eve afternoon here and I really need a sleep in between cooking but wanted to come here and post. I'm not on my computer but able to use my own ISP which is something. I'll come back in a bit and write some more. I've dropped by a couple of times to check on everyone but wasn't able to post at all at those times.

Everyone is probably off in dreamland right now... hope they're the sweetest of dreams. I've been having a few nightmares. The more people I meet the more I love my kitty. lollol Gosh there's some right wackos out there.

So much has happened and I feel a little weird using the computer after so long. Heck we even got a new Government here in Australia since I saw you last [edited to add... YIPPEEEEEEEE!] and heck we finally ratified Kyoto [edited to add... I guess it's a start at least. <sigh> They reckon our Great Barrier Reef will be well and truly gone in one generation... so shockingly sad really] and heck my sig. file is so out of date that it still is the Rugby World Cup and we lost that months back.

okie dokie. I'll be back shortly

I've missed you all very much indeed!!!

Back for a bit. I think I fixed my signature.
I've read 7 books while I've been walkabout. Gosh it's been good doing that. I used to read all the time B.C. (Before Children that is )

I guess it's blxxdy freezing where you all are. [I deleted the expletive adjective ] Not here! Actually you wouldn't believe it but it's been raining, raining and raining where I've been. Old El Nino turned into La Nina and in some parts here it means the of drought has broken a little. We'll see. When it's 30C on the coast it's about 24 or 25C up there so it's been absolutely marvellous. Lots of days spent in the misty clouds... ahh, I love that!

Well, I've got about 10 things on the go and so will head off to make the stuffing for the dinner tomorrow and am waiting for someone to get me some dark chocolate so I can make the rum balls. I've only just arrived to do all the work here, but for once I'm fairly organized. probably because I had a plan. Makes a change. I don't really like planning too much. Tend to go with the flow and see where I end up. That doesn't work too well with Turkeys and Truffles and Trifles.

I mentioned books earlier. I finally finished one book I've been talking to everyone about for so long and I was so disappointed... The Shadow of the Wind. It was so convoluted and seemed to lose something in its translation from Spanish to English I reckon. Oh well, it was still a good read. Good for the old brain cells working to try to work it all out... that's always a good thing.

OHHHH, and the good news is, I'm walking so much better. Had that darn post-concussion thing going on there for nearly 3 years. Ended up having to use a wheelchair to get around shopping centres and long distances because of all the dizzy spells. Guess what? After all this time I can now walk around a shopping centre. I still get a few dizzy spells but nothing at all like it was there for so long... in fact it was crippling and it was made worse by my fear of falling again. I am very "something"... I don't believe in luck so I'm not going to say "lucky". I am very happy though.

I will try to get back on this thing again later or tomorrow but not sure. It's not my computer.

my love to you all...
Lara (on a Mac again at last! )

I have taken so long to write this that I figured I'd better save it in case I'm logged out or something when I try to post it.

rum balls are calling
