I personally think that the body will try and reject ANYTHING foreign implanted.

People with a family history of autoimmune disease, are at higher risk.

The younger you are the more likely you may get reactions. The older you are the more sluggish the immune response in general (but not always).

If you are REALLY concerned have some blood work done on autoimmune markers and the various IGs. If you have any arthritis now, beginning, or
severe allergies, I'd rethink the decision.

Not everyone gets reactions to implants...but those that do are aggressive reactors.
