My husband is going to have a second surgery on L3-L4 - large, huge hernia, (first surgery was made by Dr. Zorub) We don't want to have anymore surgeries with Dr.Zorub. So our options are to go to Microdiscecktomy or Endoscopec surgery. Please advice if you know what procedure is better.
I just had endoscopec surgery on L4-5 by Dr. Jho two weeks ago. I had a disk bulge, and lumbar spinal stenosis. Dr. Jho stated that he does not trim bulges, his experience is that trimming a disk bulge causes back pain. He chooses to remove bone to make room for the disk bulge. So far my surgery seems to be successful. My leg pain, pins and needles in my feet, and inability to stand or walk for anymore then a few minutes is gone. I still have post surgery pain in my lower back, but I seem to be recovering quickly.

Good luck!
