Default Hi SCRAPPIE,

I think Dr. Hooshmand's office is still open in Florida. He has retired but I believe he has been replaced with new Drs. You might try to find his office. I believe they deal strictly in RSD and MS.

Also welcome to the forum.

I live in Co. and what I am seeing at some hospitals is that they are learning how to deal with RSD better. Such as with blocks. The Drs. I am running into know about RSD even if some of the nurses still donot.

As far as learning hospitals. Some may be good. But I wasted 3 years at the U of Co. because they like using people for guinna pigs. The word learning says it all to me anymore. I want them to know enough to try and help a person. I realize it's used to teach students but from what I saw at the U of Co. even the older Drs. knew nothing about RSD. Florida might have a good one but you don't want to waste time with them. I think any person going to a University Hospital should maybe ask a lot of questions the first and second time they go to make sure these Drs. know what they are doing.

Anyway, I do hope you find a good Dr. no matter where you go and again, welcome to the forum.

Ada
