Liz: I join you in mourning the loss of those sweet, innocent girls. I am not watching the news tonight. The sadness is just too much to bear.
I used to live near Amish families. When I sold my farm, an Amish family bought it. Once I got a flat tire from running over a horseshoe nail in front of my house. You are right - I have never seen an Amish child who did not display impeccable manners. Even the children are hardworking and helpful even to their "English" (meaning non-Amish) neighbors.
I cannot understand why there is so much violence today. I know there have been violent people since the beginning of history but there seems that there is a larger percentage of people that are angry.
My thoughts are with the Amish community at this very very sad time.
