What a terrible thing to happen. It's made headline news here in Hong Kong. Something chillingly deliberate about the whole thing, yes, horror.

Years ago, visiting Tasmania, I narrowly escaped being mown down by a gunman gone amok at Port Arthur. Just left the place, got in the car, 10 minutes later turned on the radio news - Bam! There's something extremely terrifying about the random nature of these ghastly events but much more so when they're close to home - and, in this case, to such undeserving folk. But then no one deserves that fate.

Try to think about something else for a bit. You know, think about it but don't dwell...read a book...watch TV... but take care, please,
