For me personally, we are in a mobile home and my washer and dryer are in the hall as you go to the rear bedroom or the bathroom. Wash on the right and dryer on the left and I have to lean over the dryer door to load it from the washer. I have a Fridgidaire dryer and a Maytag washer, have had very good luck with both.
