[QUOTE=mbsews;193823]DSD or detrusor sphincter dyssynergia is a common urinary symptom in MS and was one of my earliest symptoms. It means there is a lack of communication and coordination between the muscle that is suppose to relax to let urine out (urinary shincter) and the muscle that is supposed to contract to empty the bladder (detrusor). Zanaflex did help me but there are some others that work too...like Flomax. Sometimes it requires self-cathing though...............................QUOTE]

I've been there too. I couldn't pee for weeks unless I pushed hard and pressed on my bladder, then I got into self cathing and tra-la, easy peasy! After about 5 months of cathing, I'm only using them very occassionally now...like once a week or once a fortnight, instead of every toilet trip.

I'm glad your's is settling down AMN, and I too hope it's just a little glitch for you.
