I had my yearly mammogram this past month, and a nurse performed a breast exam afterward. During the exam she asked if I performed them monthly, which I don't, and she kindly handed me a brochure on the way out demonstrating the exam. I plan to have a complete physical, PAP, and mammogram evey year in my birthday month - July.

I had two paternal aunts who had breasts removed due to cancer, but no breast cancer history on my mother's side. One year my PCP also had me take a ultrasound along with a mammogram because she felt some small knots. Luckily the knots were only temporary, and were harmless.
