I must write an awful lot whilst working. I usually try and use a large pen so as to avoid cramping in my hands. When I can't locate one, I wrap an elastic around the pen so it becomes larger, and easier to hold on to.

Just an easy hint, that is cheap, and can be done just about anywhere.
