Yikes! I forgot to update!

I spoke with Jim's doctor today. He spoke to Urology and they are going to have a conference meeting to discuss Jim's bladder. We should know something by the time we get back from my mom's surgery.

We also talked about this horrible pain Jim is having in his upper left shoulder area. Jim's doctor said he wants Jim to see the pain clinic when we come back. He is thinking some sort of shots in the area might help. Maybe steroids or cortisone would be my guess. It is very painful.

His doctor also suggested that Jim's ms could be exacerbating. He noticed last night his hands were very weak and he couldn't hold anything. Add all these symptoms up and it does sound like a ms exacerbation.

Who knows? This is to me, what is the most difficult thing about ms. You never know if it is related to ms or something entirely different. Does anyone, even the doc know for sure? Unless you have a definite dx of something other than ms, we'll never know.

He is still cleared to take the trip for my mom's surgery. The doctor said whether Jim is at home or away the symptoms will follow. Jim said he is fine for the trip, he's used to this crap.
