Post SonShine Holdings Forms New Subsidiary Company

SonShine Holdings Forms New Subsidiary Company
RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwire - January 30, 2008)

- SonShine Holdings, Inc. today announced that it has formed a new subsidiary, Micro Medical Solutions, Inc. (MMSI).

This company will focus on developing methods and processes to determine the treatment and control parameters necessary to minimize or eliminate the transport of "sleeper germs" in human bodies.

According to a recent World Health Organization study, infections caused one-third of the world's 52 million illness-related deaths in 1995. Even in the U.S., with our relatively advanced health care, infectious-disease deaths are on the rise. Death from infectious disease in this country rose by 58% between 1980 and 1992. But the obvious health problems caused by infections are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. A growing body of medical and scientific evidence is showing that so-called hidden or silent infections are strongly connected to many if not most of the chronic diseases that plague and eventually kill most Americans. These infections have been closely linked to a number of diseases that you've probably never associated with them. The list includes diabetes, atherosclerosis, stroke, heart attack, heart failure, neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases, cancer and various organ failures. And more and more microorganisms are being associated with these disorders as our detection methods improve. We can acquire silent infections in a variety of ways, some natural and some artificial. For example, certain viruses -- referred to as "latent" or "persistent" -- can hide in the body for an entire lifetime. This usually occurs when a person's immune system functions poorly, allowing the virus to escape detection.

Dr. John Martin, founder of the Center for Complex Infectious Diseases in Rosemead, Calif., has discovered that some microorganisms may be able to remain in the body by making themselves invisible to the immune system. He refers to these as "stealth organisms," since they essentially hide within our cells and may burst forth at any time to cause disease. There is growing evidence that this is exactly what occurs with certain afflictions, including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Gulf War syndrome and the autism spectrum disorders. The stealth mechanism could explain why it has been so difficult to isolate the relevant viruses in those patients suffering from these diseases.

Scientific evidence also shows that several neurologic diseases -- including multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease), Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and stroke -- can be caused by or at least triggered by infections. For each of these diseases, a virus, mycoplasma or bacteria has been isolated as a possible cause. The two major forms of dementia include Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia. And these disorders can occur in the same person. Vascular dementia is caused by repeated blockage of small blood vessels feeding the brain. It's something that occurs over an extended period of time -- a sort of recurring mini-stroke. Both diseases have been linked to hidden (persistent) infection.

"I am delighted to be able to contribute to this growing area of scientific concern," states Mr. Dennis L. Mast, PhD, General Manager of SonShine Holding, Inc. "It is my intention to build and expand the business of our subsidiary to meet the exploding global market for efficient medical treatment in this area. Of the processes I have invented, I believe that the Add-o-mizer (which efficiently imparts any gas into any liquid) will prove to be able to be helpful in this field. I hope that this environmentally workable and cost effective treatment will be more than expected."
